Live Oaks Physical Therapy, based in Ridgeland, SC, is led by Allyson G. Bensch, PT, a seasoned physical therapist with nearly 40 years of clinical experience.

 

A 1988 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, Allyson has owned and operated outpatient physical therapy practices for 37 years, beginning with the opening of her first clinic in 1989. Over the past 15 years, she has also served as a trusted educator, lecturing on total joint replacement throughout Jasper, Beaufort, and surrounding counties.

 

Allyson specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurological conditions, including post-stroke (CVA) rehabilitation, balance training, and fall prevention. Her patient-centered approach focuses on restoring function, building confidence, and helping individuals return to the activities they enjoy most.

 

Outside the clinic, Allyson and her husband of over 38 years, Tony, embrace all that the Lowcountry has to offer — from beach days and river outings to hosting traditional Lowcountry boils and oyster roasts. Together, they have raised four daughters and are now joyfully spoiling their six grandchildren. They also enjoy staying active through tennis and pickleball.
